My mom delegated her cooking to one of our helpers when I was in college, whatever the occasion would be it was our helper that cooked everything most of the time. She would cook the dishes that she thought they couldn’t do, but most of the time she would just check them all after it was done and make sure everything tasted the way they should.
I remember one afternoon when I saw her in the kitchen making Leche Flan. I stood next to her as she made it, helped her caramelize the sugar and all that jazz. As usual it was the best one I’ve ever tasted and I’ve never had any that was better.
